Biography

Dr Ramanathapura Nanjunda Bhatta Narahari holds a PhD degree in IPR Management and has nearly 4 decades of experience in handling R&D projects and related HR & administrative issues at Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, out of which 2 decades directly on IP issues.

Dr Narahari has been offering courses under PROFICIENCE program of IISc's CCE: "Management of Intellectual Property: Protection, Licensing and Transfer; Commercialization of Intellectual Property and Start-up Tools. Also a Founding Director, Energy Advanced and Sustainable Technologies Foundation (FEAST - a Sec 8 Co) in 2015. He has published many research and general articles in journals and leading newspapers - both in English and Kannada. Has a couple of IPs to his credit, delivered more than 300 invited talks/keynote addresses/lectures on IPR issues. Resource person for MSME and NRDC IPR sensitizing programs. Served as Member, Editorial Board and in-charge publication of SNAPSHOT - a quarterly magazine of Dept. Science & Technology, Govt. of India. Spearheaded, creation of IISC IP Database and first draft of IISc IP Policy. Coordinated creation of three Societies - SID, ABETS, ISSS at IIS
